Honduras
September
26th, Day 51 – Tegucigalpa, Honduras was not my idea of fun.
There really wasn’t much to do or see. Beyond that, everybody
will tell you to stay in when the sun sets. The guy at my hotel
kept giving the gesture of the thumb across the throat signalling
bad things outside. I did go to an interesting restaurant named La
Terraza de Don Pepe that has become somewhat of a Honduran legend.
The story is that a figure of the Virgin of Supaya was abducted
from it’s respective basilica. It was later found in the men’s
restroom of the restaurant.
Though
I’ve heard great things about the Caribbean side of Honduras,
I’ll leave that to another time. I’m off to Nicaragua.
